Private Virtual Sessions

"Get It Off Your Chest"

Have you ever been motivated in a group or workshop discussion about racial discrimination issues to speak your opinion but for some reason you could not speak with a room or zoom full of people? You notice your heart racing and your fast-shallow breathing. You let that moment pass by and later after the discussion, you wished you had said something. You tell yourself all sorts of stories such as someone may take it the wrong way, what if I insult someone, they may think of me as a bad person, what if they tell the people that I know?

For these reasons, LaVerne McLeod, social justice workshop facilitator, feels it is necessary that one clears out withheld racial spew that gets in the way for being an advocate for racial equity. Therefore, she offers one-hour private and confidential listening and feedback sessions. With her Master’s degree in Education Counseling, McLeod has acquired the knowledge, training and listening experience to professionally conduct this work. These sessions are not considered “therapy,” even though one might feel a cathartic release. Should McLeod see that one can benefit from therapy sessions, she has a list of experienced psychotherapists to recommend.

Fee: $150. for a 1-hour session by appointment only via Zoom

If you have limited resources, there is a more accessible pricing tier.
